Apple has just announced new 21" and 27" iMacs from their live event that weigh in at only 5mm thing and sheds around 8 pounds over its predecessors as well as updated specs.
The new iMacs will not only have updated specs but feature a new option for a flash storage Fusion Drive of 128GB combined with a 1TB or 3TB HDD attached.
The 27" iMac will feature a 2560 x 1440 display while the 21.5" will have a 1920 x 1080 panel. The 21.5" model will include base specifications of 2.7 GHz quad-core i5, 8GB of RAM, GeForce GT 640M, and a 1TB HDD and will start at $1,299. The 27" model will start at $1,799 and feature 2.9 GHz quad-core i5, 8GB of RAM, GeForce GTX 660M, and a 1TB hardrive.
The 21.5" model will begin to ship in November while the 27" variant will start shipping a month later in December.
